SOL

A photocatalytic solution based on titanium dioxide and dispersed potassium silicates for the treatment of air. The solution has the following properties:

• reduces harmful substances (pollutants)

• cleaning affect

• anti-bacterial effect

• eliminates smells

 Characteristics

The PHOTOCATALYTIC properties of the formulation allow for the oxidation of pollutants and their subsequent transformation into harmless residual substances.

• “cleaning” effect on pollutants by means of the decomposition of micro-organisms that “dirty” surfaces.
• High degree of permeability to water vapour.
• Excellent adhesion to materials thanks to its “non-film-forming” nature.
• Anti-bacterial and anti-mould action by means of photocatalytic oxidation-reduction.

Uses

For all mineral materials

• External surfaces of historic buildings and modern day homes.
• City centre buildings exposed to high levels of pollution.
• Road coverings, car parks, squares, cycle paths, footpaths

Method of application

Covering capacity 1 litre of product is recommended for a surface area of approx 15 m2 applied by spray gun using standard methods.

• In difficult areas like corners or where delicacy is called for, be very careful not to spray the product too much and allow the solution to build up in one spot.
• Do not add any type of additive to the product as this may alter the correct balance of its components.
• Do not apply the product to glossy surfaces as this may make them opaque.
• During application, remember to consider how the work area is ventilated as chemical fumes may be given off.
• Following application, the surfaces take on a translucent appearance.
• Before spraying the product, you are advised to wash any surfaces to be covered that are not already clean.
• Comply with the application temperature (from 5° to 35°C).
• You are advised to wash spray equipment after application to prevent encrustation.
• An application of one coat only may suffice if it is evenly distributed at a rate of approx. 60÷70 gr/m2.

Storage and handling

• You are strongly advised to implement the standard fire prevention measures where the product is stored.
• Keep in well-sealed containers
• Make sure that the containers are kept out of the sunlight and are stored in a dry place.
• The solution contains water. Avoid drying and freezing. Never use the product if it is dried out or frozen.
• Do not swallow. Keep out of the reach of children

Specifications

A liquid photocatalytic solution based on titanium dioxide with PPS® (Proactive Photocatalytic System) for the treatment of surfaces exposed to the air or immersed in water. It is specifically designed to treat air or water by means of the photocatalytic process. The solution is to be applied by spray gun in the quantities detailed in the technical specifications.
