FotoSil
A potassium silicate-based paint with inert selected silicates and mineral pigments that are highly resistant to light. The specially selected raw materials provide excellent PHOTOCATALYTIC characteristics.
The PHOTOCATALYTIC properties of the formulation allow for the oxidation of pollutants and their subsequent transformation into harmless residual substances.
- “Cleaning” effect of pollutants by means of the decomposition of micro-organisms that dirty surfaces.

For any type of new construction materials like wall coverings, cement, concrete, chalk, lime or previous coverings that are in poor condition.

- Structures such as underpasses and arcades.
Substrates to be treated must be dry, solid, absorbent and of mineral nature or old lime or silicate paint. The surfaces must be free from saline efflorescence, flakiness and peeling. FotoSil must be applied with a brush or roller over a coat of FOTOSIL PRIMER.
N.B. You are advised to apply FOTOSIL when the weather is good but not in direct sunlight or when it is windy. These factors can prolong drying times and harm both appearance and photocatalytic performance. It should be noted that application at high temperatures (> 30°C) affects the silicatisation process. The effects of rainwater can lead the presence of active silicates to form ugly stains or whitish marks from insoluble silicates. To remove these unsightly marks, the area must first be neutralised then repainted.

Potassium silicate-based paint contains photocatalytic substances including titanium dioxide (TiO2) with PPS (Proactive Photocatalytic System) technology, inert ultra-fine substances and specially prepared additives that meet the specifications of Ministerial Decree (Department of the Environment) dated 01.04.2004
