EcoTunnel Paint

A water paint based on styrene acrylic resin for use in tunnels.

The specially selected raw materials provide excellent 

PHOTOCATALYTIC characteristics.

Characteristics

The specific PHOTOCATALYTIC properties of the formulation allow for the oxidation of pollutants and their subsequent transformation into harmless residual substances.

• ÒCleaningÓ effect of pollutants by means of the decomposition of micro-organisms that dirty surfaces.
• Antibacterial and anti-mould action by means of photocatalytic oxidation reduction of components thus leading to the removal of unpleasant smells.

Uses

• For covering the vertical sections and roofs of tunnels.
• Areas with poor external lighting.

Method of application

The paint is to be applied using brushes, rollers or airless spray equipment.

Dilution - First coat 25-30%, second coat 20% with water.

The surfaces must be free from saline efflorescence, flakiness and peeling.

Make sure that the surfaces to be treated are first given a coat of a suitable primer (FOTODECOR PRIMER).

When applied in tunnels, see that the surfaces are periodically cleansed with low-pressure sprays to wash away residues from photocatalytic reactions.

  • Storage - Store in a warm place
  • Application temperature - Between 5° and 35°C
  • Drying at 25°C - 30 – 40 minutes finger dry
