A pre-mixed powder composed of clear-coloured photocatalytic cement made form inert silica granules and special additives prepared according to a special formula. The specially selected raw materials provide excellent PHOTOCATALYTIC characteristics.
Characteristics
The PHOTOCATALYTIC properties of the formulation allow for the oxidation of pollutants and their subsequent transformation into harmless residual substances.
Transforms pollutants into harmless residues.
Reduces temperatures by reflection.
Resistant to de-icing salts.
High grip coefficient.
Antibacterial and anti-mould action by means of photocatalytic oxidation reduction.
Uses
Asphalt or concrete road coverings.
Car parks, squares, cycle paths, footpaths.
Balconies, shelters.
Roads with little traffic.
Method of application
Substrate preparation
To ensure good adhesion, particular care must be paid to preparing the substrate. The surfaces to be treated must be perfectly clean, solid, free from dust, water, fats and incompatible materials. The substrate must be roughened.
Preparing the mixture.
Mix the product with the appropriate amount of water. Gradually add clean water to the product until 20% of the mixture is water (max. 5 litres per 25 Kg bag).
Mix well. Add more water if necessary (to obtain the more fluid mixture that some applications require); continue blending until the mixture is smooth and there are no lumps.
Applying the mixture
Spread a thin layer of the mixture manually or using industrial road-laying machinery. The minimum depth is about 1.5 mm and maximum is about 1.8 mm. Under normal weather conditions, wait for at least 12 hours before allowing the treated surface to be used and 24 hours before re-opening to traffic. Weather conditions can have a considerable effect on drying times.
